Sometimes I feel like my house/ where I live is a constant source of stress in my life, and I have also found this to be true for other people I know. Even though I am grateful that it provides a safe place for me to rest and work, and to keep my belongings, it is also difficult for me to leave and thus creates a lot of anxiety in my life. Other people I have spoken with have also mentioned about how they love their house, but hate the city in which they live. Or possibly, they are happy for what they have, but wish for more in a living space. The house is what keeps people rooted and secure, but it has the ability to trap and confine as well.

I’m thinking of adding more detail to this painting, but I also enjoy how simple it is right now…
